Ypsilanti Gabriel's Cheese Steak Hoagies

This is hands down the best hoagie place in the Ann Arbor, Y psilanti area. They are always prepared fresh. This sandwich will melt in your mouth, literally! Lastly, they also reheat very well and taste just as good. Highly recommend A+ experience all the time!

Woah! After driving by the building for 25 years I just stopped in and had my first Gabriels Cheese Steak Hoagie experience! I was greeted by the 3 friendliest people who have all worked here more than 10 years and 5 minutes later was served a Cheese Steak Hoagie that Cheese Steak Hoagies dreams are made of. On E Michigan half way between downtown Ypsilanti and Canton! Stop in! Ypsilanti: Rise & Thrive in 26!

I have passed by this place a few times while at work. Never gave it any thought. Nothing stood out about the place except for the last couple of times I passed by the parking lot was packed. So I figured I would try it out. They do not have a big menu at all. But what they do have is one of the BEST chess steak sub I have ever had in my life!!!!!

The parking lot is alil small for me with a semi which is kinda bad for me... buut these sandwiches are amazing. You definitely wanna stop in and get 1 or 2 for lunch. When the line is to the door it means something. They do have some indoor seating to eat there. You won't be disappointed. Friendly staff and helpful. Food is reasonably priced.

Five Stars (10/10)! Jason provided the best service I've ever had at Gabriel's Hoagie Shop. When I called, he was incredibly friendly and took the time to suggest different cheeses and delicious toppings that no one else has ever offered before. ​He was just as warm and pleasant in person when I went to pick up my food. Excellent customer service, a wonderful attitude, and the hoagie was absolutely delicious. I am so appreciative of his help and highly recommend this spot!

Myself and one of my employees noticed the establishment while working. We decided to try it today. Excellent hoagie at a fair price. I'd recommend it to anyone!

I've had cheesesteaks from all over but there's nothing like a hoagie from Gabriel's (with hot peppers of course). What an awesome, no frills hole in the wall! Bonus - if you dine in you will wear their complimentary perfume the rest of the day so you can reminisce about your culinary adventure.
